As a social media account manager, you’ll manage the online presence of our clients by serving as the point of contact on our team for your accounts. You will be responsible for setting expectations, developing strategy, producing great content, analyzing data, and managing projects and campaigns. Requires working knowledge of all social media platforms, attention to detail, an ability to self manage, and excellent time management.

Responsibilities

As a social media account manager, you’ll be expected to:

  • Understand social media best practices
  • Develop creative and engaging social media strategies
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels
  • Oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools such as Basecamp, Asana and HubSpot
  • Create engaging multimedia content across multiple platforms (this includes being able to develop attractive and eye-catching images and/or video in programs like Canva)
  • Develop, launch and manage campaigns that build and promote our clients’ brands
  • Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
  • Monitor, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Insights
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of achieving and measuring social media activity
  • Recommend improvements to increase performance
  • Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement
  • Manage a budget for social media activities
  • Educate other team members on the use of social media and promote its use within your company
  • Encourage collaboration across teams and departments
  • Regularly liaise with clients via telephone, email, conference calls or face-to-face

Salary

This is a long-term contract position that pays hourly, commensurate with experience

Working hours

Business hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. You will be expected to be accessible during these hours by Skype, email OR phone. This position requires a commitment of at least 30 hours a month and that is expected to increase in the near future.
