Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Part-Time Marketing Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or for a professional with at least 2 years of hands-on marketing experience. The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting our marketing efforts, ensuring our brand message is consistent, and helping to execute effective campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and traditional marketing.
- Help with website updates, blog posts, and search engine optimization (SEO) efforts.
- Coordinate with external vendors or agencies for the production of marketing materials, as needed.
- Analyze marketing metrics and compile reports to track campaign effectiveness.
- Support event planning and execution, including promotions and logistics coordination.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to marketing, including organizing assets, updating spreadsheets, and maintaining contact lists.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Currently enrolled in a marketing, communications, or related degree program OR
- At least 2 years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, or communications.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Basic understanding of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) is a plus.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Constant Contact, SendGrid, and Pardot.
- Analytical mindset with a basic understanding of tools like Google Analytics.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Hours:
- Approximately 15-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments or other responsibilities.
